SAS Students Review Grammy’s 2019 Red Carpet Looks

The 2019 Grammys brought a return to the ceremony’s imitable glamour of last year: Cardi B made a dramatic arrival in Mugler, Kylie Jenner joined boyfriend Travis Scott in a polarising baby pink Balmain Couture number and Gaga went – gasp! – modest in a silver Celine gown. The ceremony itself was filled with surprises and empowering messages and the red carpet at Los Angeles’ Staples Center was among the most glamorous in recent memory.

Aside from Post Malone in his pink suit covered in rhinestone stars and Leon Bridges in his custom-made mustard Bode covered in personal totems, the men, who have been strutting their way through the Hollywood awards season, were relatively restrained. The women, however, did their own thing. Sisters, dressing the way they want to dress. Watch the video below to see SAS students give their own take on the 2019 Grammy’s outfits.

Still, if there was any real takeaway from the Grammy’s fashion, it was the range of styles on display on a night that finally put women front and center.
