Music Festival Week

This week, we are privileged enough to welcome three world-class guest conductors for each of our three music departments: Band, strings, and choir.

Yesterday, the band concert was conducted by Dr. Rob Taylor. The concert featured the SAS middle school band students as well as all of the high school band as well. Middle school band classes, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble all had the pleasure of working with him during their class time.

Tonight, the strings concert will welcome Dr. Peter Stark to the stage at 6pm. Similar to band, Chamber Strings, Strings Ensemble and Concert Strings as well as all the middle school strings classes, worked with him throughout the week.

Finally, on Saturday at 4pm, Dr. Anthony Trecek-King and the singers will be gracing the stage. Middle school choir, Concert Choir, Chorale Ensemble, and the SAS Singers worked closely with him in their classrooms. So if you find yourself with a craving for outstanding music, swing by the auditorium either tonight or tomorrow afternoon!
