Summer is synonymous with exploring new music. As we enter into the break, Three sophomores, Evelyn Zhang, Sally Nakazawa and Brenda Lee, compete to see who is the best-best friend solely through demonstrated awareness of the others’ Spotify activity.

Anyu Ching is a sophomore at Singapore American School, and this is her first year as a reporter for The Eye. She has been at SAS since 3rd grade, and was born in Singapore but raised in Tokyo, Japan. Her hobbies include making really extra playlists for her friends on Spotify, binge-watching How I Met Your Mother obsessively and stalking Harry Styles on social media.
