Lesser Known Instagram-Worthy Destinations of Singapore

Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms today and with nearly millions of people updating their feed with new posts every second, it’s no doubt we want to maintain the visually appealing aspect of our feed. Singapore is a tiny island, it’s true, but in it contains hundreds of picture-perfect locations – you just have to know where to look. To save you the trouble, we have compiled a simple list of stunning locations that will adorn the blandest of social media feeds. This list is accompanied by the short film below, Snapshots of Singapore, that functions a ‘visual guide’ to taking creative Instagram pictures (and having fun doing so!).

1: Singapore Botanic Gardens

Located next to an MRT, the Singapore Botanic Gardens is the ideal place to get a taste of tropical nature. From colorful flowers to high treetops to jumping squirrels and swimming swans, Botanic Gardens is one easiest places to snap a great picture and spend some time with your friends while you’re at it.

2: Redhill MRT

With its millennial pink walls and bubblegum tinted ceilings, the Redhill MRT is the perfect spot for Instagram junkies, wishing to get a shot of some sweet pink. Even from a distance, you can see the layer of pastel pink paint coated on the outside of the MRT, making it one of the perfect spots to add to your Instagram feed.

3: Queenstown MRT

If pink isn’t your color, Queenstown MRT also offers a rich aesthetic of pastel blue. With grand blue stairs at the center of the MRT, light blue walls and poles, Queenstown MRT will give you the perfect pop of color that you need for your feed.

A popular tourist attraction in Singapore, the classic, elegant white of CHIJMES makes it a perfect addition to your Instagram feed. The building features spiral staircases and elegant hallways, ranking it as worthy of being added to your list of aesthetically pleasing Instagram places in Singapore.

5: Prudential Marina Bay Carnival

Since its recent opening in December 2017, the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival has been one of the most popular locations to visit in people’s free time. With exhilarating rides offering a rush of adrenaline and stress relief during the daytime, at night, the carnival transforms into a colorful, eye-catching series of bright, glowing, neon lights. With free admission, the carnival is the ideal place to chill with friends and take a couple of cute photos or two for the IG.

Whether it’s during a walk through the gardens, your daily commute on the MRT, or a Chijmes lunch date, there are plenty of spots to snap an instagram-worthy picture. Hoepfully we’ve provided some inspiration for the next addition to your feed!  Make sure you tag the results with #thesaseye and give us a little credit 😉
